Kauer, Riesling, Oberegweseler Spatlese trocken, 2017 Magnum
This is is a special bottling with a fragment of shale from the Oberegweseler vinyard that has a whole made with a pick by the original workers planting the field.
The label was made using a photograph of the workers and their picks.
Light aromas of biscuit, vanilla, candied orange peel (panettone); notes of stone-fruit peel on the palate, slightly sweet, cinnamony, great aging potential.
Intense but at the same time subtle on the nose, spice, chocolate and black cherry notes, with minty freshness, similar palate, straightforward and at the same time complex.
Delicate combination of fragrances: piquancy, spice and fruit in a creamy, chocolaty setting; bright, spicy aromas on the palate, fine, typical notes of marzipan, both powerful and elegant at the same time.
Ideal, typical, ripe, juicy fruit, discreet spice and piquancy, lively and stimulating; youthful taste with a lovely fruit-spice dialogue, great potential for further development.
